In his report of July 6, Cass Gilbert gives some details about Alfred Magnuson's fall: Magnuson was working on the steelwork of the Senate chamber fell about 30 feet to the floor below. Gilbert also lists Magnuson as having died on June 29. Magnuson's death card lists his death date as June 30.
