Alexander Roach was born in Canada in 1850 and came to the U.S. in 1864. He gave his occupation as "toolmaker" in the 1899 City Directory. By 1910 he was operating his own "confectionary" shop in St. Paul. He raised a family and died here in 1923.

Gustaf Peterson was born in Sweden in 1871 and emigrated in 1890.
