1903 City Directory. August Okoniewski was born in Poland in 1869 and emigrated in 1888. He worked on the Capitol as a laborer but later became a blacksmith and worked at that trade in St. Paul for many years. In the 1930 Census he gave his occupation as "blacksmith" working at a an auto repair shop.
